Welcome to Shortun ("Shortun", "we", "us"), a URL shortening and link monetisation service available at shortun.com. By accessing or using Shortun, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Shortun lets registered and unregistered users shorten long URLs. Registered members ("publishers") can earn money when visitors open their short links and view the interstitial advertising page shown before the destination. Shortun also provides statistics, publisher tools, an API, link-in-bio pages and custom domain support.
You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to hold a publisher account and receive payouts. One person may not operate multiple accounts to abuse referrals, bonuses or rate limits.
You agree not to shorten, promote or link to content that is illegal, infringing, malicious or harmful, including: malware, phishing or scam pages; content that infringes intellectual property rights; adult or violent content where prohibited by law; spam or unsolicited bulk messaging; and pages that violate the terms of the platforms where you share them. You must not use bots, automated refreshes, proxies, VPN traffic, click farms or any other method to generate artificial or incentivised visits to short links, and you must not click your own links to generate earnings.
Publishers earn the rates published on our Publisher Rates page, calculated per 1,000 counted views. A "counted view" is a genuine human visit that meets our quality criteria; visits from bots, proxies, repeat refreshes within a short window, ad-blocked sessions and other invalid traffic are filtered and do not earn. Each link's statistics page shows counted and filtered views and the reasons for filtering. Rates may change; the rates in force at the time of a visit apply. The minimum withdrawal is $5. Payouts are made to the payment method and details saved in your profile; you are responsible for their accuracy and for any taxes due on your earnings. Balances obtained through fraud or abuse may be withheld and the account terminated.
Members earn a referral percentage (currently 20%) of the earnings of members who register through their referral link, for as long as the program operates. Self-referrals and referral rings are prohibited.
Advertisers purchase visits at the rates on our Advertising Rates page. We filter invalid traffic and do not charge for visits that fail our published quality criteria. Advertised destinations must comply with section 3.
The Shortun name, logo and website are owned by Shortun's operator. You retain ownership of the content you link to and are solely responsible for it.
We work to keep Shortun available and fast, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability. We may modify features, rates or these Terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shortun is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost earnings caused by downtime, filtering decisions made in good faith, or third-party destinations reached through short links.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; any legitimately earned balance at or above the minimum payout will be settled on request.
